Description
St. John Paul II Catholic High School is seeking the next member of its distinguished faculty. Currently, we are seeking a Spanish language teacher with the ability to teach the full range of courses in the discipline, from Spanish I for novice speakers to Spanish III and/or Spanish IV/AP. Courses could include dual credit options for Spanish III if the applicant is properly degreed. This is a full-time position.
The school seeks to maintain a fully and authentically Catholic environment, and in Spanish language instruction, there are many areas and ways to integrate faith within the course. Teacher candidates must be practicing Catholics.
** EXPERIENCE WITH HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL INSTRUCTION IS HIGHLY PREFERRED, as is experience with AP courses or credentials for dual credit teaching. **

Requirements
• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in History (or relevant degree area)
• A valid Texas Teacher's Certificate, or 12 credit hours in education courses
• Technology Proficiency (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, multimedia presentations, and internet use for educational purposes)
