This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt position that reports to the Director of the Agricultural Education Center and is located at the Agricultural Education Center at 37803 St. Hwy 104, Baylis, Illinois. Position begins immediately. JOB DESCRIPTION This position is responsible for providing administrative support for faculty and staff located at the Agriculture Science Complex. Duties include: Provide administrative support to faculty and routine secretarial/receptionist duties. Assist with scheduling courses and assigning rooms for all activities held at the center. Oversee maintenance and housekeeping issues related to the center. Assist with student success navigation by assisting with routine student questions. Under direction of the Director, coordinate and assist in student activities such as scholarship events, Ag club events, Ag advisory council meetings, Ag alumni events, career events and tours of the agriculture facility. Daily point of contact for U of I extension, Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), and other agencies using the facility to coordinate activities and programs. QUALIFICATIONS Associate degree with 2 to 4 years of related office experience preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other office technology equipment.
