Position Summary:

The Nourishment Aide works under close supervision, prepares special and between meal nourishments, tube feedings, baby formula and fruit juices.

Education:

Work requires a level of math and English normally acquired through the completion of an eighth-grade education at minimum.

Work Experience:

Requires one to three months on the job orientation to acquire necessary familiarity with department policies and procedures, work routines, and to learn to operate area-specific equipment. Previous work experience in food service is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of operating kitchen/cafeteria equipment according to area of assignment (ie, cafeteria, trayline, sanitation, storeroom, production, Grill 601, catering, Corridor Cafe). Examples include: steam table dish machine, coffee urn, soda dispenser, grill, toaster, pizza oven, food slicer, warmer, trash bins, and similar equipment.

Part-Time (20 hours)
