Patient Care Technician - PCT - Cardiac Surgery Stepdown
Full Time Day Shift 36 hours
The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) is a 32-bed adult inpatient surgical unit. The unit offers 3 levels of care : floor, telemetry, and intermediate care for acute cardiac, vascular, and other surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring.
Care and services provided : coronary artery bypass, Heartmate II or III & Heartware mechanical circulatory support devices, valve replacement or repairs, Type A & B aortic dissections, fem-pop bypass, scalenectomy, TAVR, heart or lung transplantation.

Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
- 1 year of acute care (hospital) tech experience within the most recent 2 years is required (EMT or CRT experience may be considered)
- BLS CPR certification required : AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.
