About this position:

The primary responsibility of the Specialty Nurse is to advance patient care directly in the role of expert clinical practitioner and patient educator; and indirectly in the roles of educator, coordinator, and consultant.

The Specialty Nurse: Care Facilitator Behavioral Health is responsible for assessing nursing compliance and practice through concurrent chart review, observing clinical performance (tracer methodology), and data collection. The Care Facilitator ensures adherence to regulatory and internal policy requirements. This role involves providing feedback, guidance, and education to enhance the quality, safety, and excellence of care delivery.

Who Should Apply:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required.
  • Must have experience in collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, identifying and solving, and conducting educational programs with hospital staff, etc. Experience in critical care, and/or behavioral health environments as well as data analysis and increased leadership responsibilities required.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication written and verbal skills necessary to gather and exchange data (both internally and externally) with members of the health care team. Understands and uses principles of conflict resolution.
  • BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.
