We are seeking an innovative Assistant Program Manager to help us drive the future of defense capabilities. In this role, you will shape and lead analyses that speed the delivery of technology to the warfighter by understanding competition, policy, and strategy. Your contributions will support the Office of the Secretary of Defense and have broad relevance across all Services, the Joint Force, and the Interagency. As an Assistant Program Manager, you will... * Assist the Program Manager in developing and sustaining strategic relationships with DoD sponsors.
* Lead and contribute to analytic teams focused on emerging technology, net assessments, and policy and strategy development.
* Oversee cost, schedule, and performance management for various projects, ensuring accurate planning and resource management.
* Provide thought leadership in technology analyses across multiple domains, identifying critical needs and shaping analytic work.
* Engage with multiple National Security communities and contribute to JHU/APL-wide technical forums. Qualifications You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you have... * A Master's degree in a technology-relevant field such as engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, chemistry, national security, economics, operations research or another relevant field.
* At least five years of relevant experience in research, technical development, national security, analysis, and/or systems engineering.
* Experience working with the federal government on technology policy.
* A demonstrated history of developing sponsor relationships and securing funding.
* An understandingof major issues faced by the DoD, including defense strategy, operations research, RDT&E, and acquisition policy.
* Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* An active Secret security clearance and can ultimately obtain a TS/SCI level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information.
