Job DescriptionJob Title: Assistant Project Manager
Location: Boston Area

We offer a wide range of services to General Contractors and resellers including installations, project management, pre-project planning, site measurements, warehousing and logistical support. JG Contracting also has a dedicated service department to assist with maintenance and repairs post-completion.
Job Summary: We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team and support the successful execution of demountable wall and glazing installation projects. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to multitask will be essential in coordinating project activities, managing subcontractors, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and executing glazing installation projects from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Coordinate and monitor project activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Assist in the procurement and coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and materials required for project execution.
  • Conduct regular site visits to oversee installation progress, address any issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Assist in reviewing and interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project closeout documents.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and resolve any project-related issues that may arise.
  • Foster a culture of safety by adhering to company policies and procedures, promoting safe work practices, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in project management within the construction or glazing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of glazing systems and installation techniques.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites within the Boston area as required.
