Johnson Brothers Hardware/ Johnson Fleet and Farm is currently seeking a quality candidate to join our team, Full-Time/Part-Time/Flex-Time. Applicant will need to have mechanical skills to troubleshoot, order parts and repair compact construction equipment and small tractors.

During slow times and as needed applicant must be willing to be a team player and help with storefront service, sales, local deliveries etc..

Applicant Must Be Able to demonstrate, perform or provide the following:

Have a valid driver's license.
Clean motor vehicle record.

Basic computer skills included but not limited to email, point of sale, online parts ordering, reading parts schematics and repair manuals.

Have own basic set of tools.

Be generally healthy enough to lift 50# with no job or injury related issues limiting job performance.

Principal Job Description:

The Tractor Tech diagnoses, adjusts, repairs, or overhauls tractors and associated equipment.

Related Tasks:

• Repairs and maintains diesel engines used to power equipment and tractors.
• Records repairs made, time spent, and parts used.
• Obtains problem descriptions from customers, and prepares cost estimates for repairs.
• Tests and inspects equipment to determine malfunctions, to locate missing and broken parts, and to verify repairs, using diagnostic instruments.
• Sells parts and equipment as part of their job function.
• Shows customers how to maintain equipment.

Preferred Skill/Training Set:

• 2 years experience
• Certifications in Diesel engine and/or related.

Pay offering will be determined by prior experience. Willing to train mechanics with backgrounds in other areas such as auto mechanics.

Salary: $25.00 to $40.00 /hour dependent on experience
