PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
•Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles statistical data
•Uses gauges and other devices to verify conformity to standards of product
•Exercises some independent judgment in resolving product issues and also asks for support in resolving issues
•Has a high competency level of all product lines and product testing procedures
•Can provide leadership and problem solving assistance to inspectors
•Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to responsibilities
•Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
•Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
•Other duties as required
