Johnson County Mental Health is currently looking for a Full-time Peer Support Specialist to work at the Shawnee location. The successful candidate will demonstrate recovery expertise in mental illness by successfully supporting others in their recovery and have the ability to demonstrate their own efforts at recovery. The candidate must self-identify as a present or former client of mental health services. First review of applications will be June 19.
Job duties:
Minimum Job Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent and one year of experience working in a human services field are required. May require KS/MO driver’s license, depending on department or agency. Complete Level I and Level II Peer Specialist training within the first year of employment.
Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency.
