Responsibilities:
Consult with Launch Teams (Integrated Strategy Teams > 2 years to launch, Launch Readiness Teams < 2 years to launch) to develop optimal launch strategies and resource planning.
  • Collaborate with launch teams and external consultants to develop, lead and/or facilitate key workshops, including GTM (Go-To-Market) planning, Launch Readiness Review preparation, scenario planning, challenge sessions, competitive simulations and launch planning. Work with consultants and teams to institutionalize learnings into Launch Excellence Framework.
  • Optimize the Launch Excellence Knowledge Management Engine (case studies, internal launch learnings & best practices) to drive engagement with the launch teams and proactively bring solutions to business challenges or opportunities.
  • Champion the culture of launch excellence across the organization, building productive cross-business connections (e.g., Global, Strategic Customer Group, Medical Affairs, etc.,) to enhance organizational launch capabilities and business solutions.
  • Understand the requirements associated with future pipeline assets and shape capabilities to enable effective launch planning.
  • Be a forward-looking strategist, preparing the organization for what is necessary to launch in key areas of future growth, such as gene therapy, cell therapy, precision medicine, and rare diseases.
  • Drive the syndication of the Launch Excellence best practices that include the 6 critical capabilities for launch success, risk evaluation, scenario planning, and governance to ensure launch readiness.
  • Drive process efficiency and effectiveness and transformational launch capabilities across the Johnson & Johnson enterprise.
  • Anticipate launch team needs and proactively shape resources and new approaches to address needs and elevate the launch planning capabilities of organization.
  • Strengthen and build launch skills within Johnson & Johnson by creating and leading development initiatives.
  • Grow & leverage the Subject Matter Expert (SME) community to enhance the launch excellence framework and serve as strategic advisors via launch readiness challenge sessions.The ideal candidate should have broad commercial experience, including launching products in the US, and be motivated to drive the impact at the Johnson & Johnson enterprise level. In addition, the person will have demonstrated the ability to successfully develop people, collaborate and drive alignment in strategy and execution with cross-functional teams.

    Qualifications:
    • A minimum of a BA/BS required with MBA Preferred
    • 7 years pharmaceutical business experience in Marketing, Launch, Sales and/or early product development is preferred.
    • Experience in complex or accelerated launch areas like gene therapy, orphan/rare disease, or oncology is a plus.
    • Strong business acumen and industry knowledge to influence cross-functional decisions and strategies.
    • Proven ability to develop strategies and build comprehensive business cases, including market overview, analytics, forecast development, and commercial resourcing.
    • Proficient in understanding clinical studies and technical knowledge.
    • Ability to analyze financial statements.
    • Demonstrated leadership in strategy development, execution, and driving organizational alignment.
    • Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
    The base pay range for this position is $142,000 to $244,950. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as health insurance, savings plan, pension plan, disability plan, vacation pay, sick time, holiday pay, and work, personal and family time off in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
