This position is under a Collective Bargaining Agreement in a Union environment. Duties and Responsibilities :

• Perform maintenance on all mechanical and electrical components of all manufacturing and processing equipment, auxiliary equipment, buildings, grounds, and vehicles.
• Repair and maintain all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and physical building.
• Perform work as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Set up and operate machines to repair or fabricate new repair parts.
• Operate cutting and welding equipment.
• Unload, move, install equipment, and operate forklifts and company vehicles.
• Record maintenance work performed on equipment.
• Move material as requested and ensure the quality of their work.
• Clean and perform basic equipment maintenance, general housekeeping, and 6S activities within assigned work areas.
• Perform the job safely and environmentally advantageously by following all safety, regulatory, and environmental rules, policies, and procedures.
• A minimum of a High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
• Broad knowledge of mechanical equipment, electricity, plumbing, carpentry, construction, and grounds keeping as acquired through a four (4) years accredited apprenticeship or eight (8) or more years of diversified experience in industrial maintenance is required.
• Ability to utilize and apply to job responsibilities : complex drawings, specifications, charts, tables, handbook formulas, shop mathematics, and a wide variety of precision measuring instruments is required.
• Ability to read, understand, and apply relevant codes, including electrical codes and safety practices is required.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and apply processes, criteria, and required procedures is required.
• Ability to read, interpret, and perform work based on blueprints and / or CAD drawings is required.
• Any of the following CNC experiences : electrical, ladder logic, mechanical, hydraulic, and / or troubleshooting and repair is preferred.
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
• Vacuum furnace experience is preferred.
• Required to obtain and maintain forklift operator accreditation.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
