We are looking for an experienced and innovative IT Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our healthcare team. This role will bridge the gap between clinical practices and information technology, focusing on optimizing the use of data and information systems to improve patient care, enhance clinical workflows, and support evidence-based decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clinical teams to identify opportunities for utilizing technology to improve patient care and clinical operations.
- Analyze clinical data to assist with decision-making processes and optimize workflow efficiency.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance the Cerner (EHR) systems and other clinical information systems.
- Provide training and support to clinical staff on the effective use of information technology tools.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to clinical informatics processes and workflows.
- Liaise between clinical staff, IT teams, and management to ensure technology solutions align with clinical needs and enhance patient care quality.
- Stay informed on current trends and best practices in clinical informatics and healthcare technology.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and design informatics projects that drive healthcare improvements.
- Monitor system performance, user satisfaction, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current clinical license (e.g., RN, MD, or related) in Arkansas.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on health informatics or related roles.
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare information systems, particularly EHRs.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Experience with Cerner is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Clinical Informatics or Health Informatics (e.g., CAHIMS, AHIMA).
- Experience in clinical decision support systems and data governance frameworks.
- Proficiency in data management and visualization tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in healthcare informatics, such as HIPAA and ONC certifications.
