Hours: 1:30pm – 10:00pm, Monday-Friday (Overtime as production demands)
Position OverviewJohnsonville Sanitation roles are technical, and crucial to equipment and production floor activities. Equipment and facility sanitation are about more than just cleanliness. Equipment can be perceived to be clean, free from visible dirt, yet still be contaminated with microorganisms. Our Sanitation teams and Team Leaders are the first line of defense in the fight against microorganisms. This role is important for Food Safety; ensuring consumers get a great tasting/performing product that is safe for their families.
Responsibilities

• Coach Members on 3rd Shift to deliver continuous improvement in the areas of safety, food safety/quality, cost of goods manufactured, customer service, Member development and BPTW.
• Learn and understand the cooked/smoked side of the process; train and coach Members on the process and provide rotation and break support to Members.
• Be responsible for the performance, productivity and efficient utilization of resources.
• Ensure sanitation and food safety specifications are met.
• Create an environment that ensures Member involvement and implementation of programs, ideas, and guidelines that ensure fairness to all Members and improve Member morale and work life.
• Ensure appropriate Coaches/Members are aware of problems, issues, and events that could affect safety, food safety/quality, cost, customer service, Member development and BPTW.
• Ensure a safe, helpful, Team atmosphere, which promotes continuous improvement among team Members.
• Participate/facilitate in daily GRILL meetings and weekly Core Team meetings.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Experience

• Previous experience in leading a project, team, or team meeting

Qualifications

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to function in a team-based environment.
• Work experiences that demonstrate the Johnsonville’s Core Values, i.e., Integrity, Continuous Learning, Teamwork, Continuous Improvement, and Innovation
• Knowledgeable in regulatory compliance (safety, USDA).
• Strong math background is required.
• Excellent written and oral skills.
• Demonstrated desire to learn, grow and take on increasing responsibility.
• Must be able to complete Sanitation documentation paperwork accurately
• Must be able to identify CCP’s in area of responsibility and maintain all GMPs
• Must be able to be certified in chemical usage.
• Must be able to obtain a forklift and Will Lift license and learn the safe operation of electric pallet movers
• Able to conduct environmental swabbing for area

• Ability to pass a pre-employment, post offer drug screen, physical and background check
