Job Description

The HR Coordinator/Recruitment Specialistis responsible for attracting, identifying, and recruiting of all hourly and salaried roles, in addition to supporting the day-to-day administrative functions of the HR department. This role will support all aspects of the recruitment cycle; including the creation of job descriptions, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, coordinating interviews with hiring managers, conducting references checks for successful candidates and supporting the onboarding of new hires. The ideal candidate for this role will require administrative abilities and must have a strong attention to detail.

  • Full cycle recruitment including posting and maintaining job descriptions, screening resumes, and identifying candidates, conducting phone screens, support, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers. Provide recommendation on recruitment best practices and opportunities for continuous improvement. 
  • Proactively source and develop pipelines for future anticipated vacancies. 
  • In collaboration with the HR Generalist, support all onboarding requirements including the creation of HR profiles in the HR system and oversee the onboarding of new hires including: new hire onboarding, orientation, employee profiles and records, creating training profiles. 
  • Maintain and update any recruitment metrics and reports in support of the recruitment strategy. 
  • Maintain and update tracking for employee certifications and licenses. 
  • General administration and coordination for any required HR activities; including the monitoring of the HR Mail inbox. 
  • Enrolls new hires in benefits such as health/dental/life insurance and provides general administrative support for benefits administration.
  • Maintains employee handbook and HR corporate policies and procedures – updates and distributes documents as necessary.
  • Processes monthly reconciliation of HR related bills (insurance premiums, etc.) for coding and submission to Accounts Payable for processing.
  • Provides administrative support for in-house training and performance review process.
  • Coordinates the annual information compilation regarding employee benefit costs and changes for the upcoming year to present to Executive Council for discussion and decision making.
  • Provides administrative support for first report of injuries for workers’ compensation claims and vehicle incidents.
  • Maintains OSHA log and workers’ compensation files.
  • Updates Safety Policies as necessary.
  • Support the offboarding process for employees, including the administration of exit interviews surveys and liaise with managers to ensure administrative tasks are completed within a timely manner. 
  • Facilitate employment verification letters and other employee letters as required. 
  • Develop, support, and coordinate internal communications in cooperation with internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with other general duties as required. 
Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in human resources or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in Human Resources with a focus in recruitment experience is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate in English with internal and external clients
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and clients
  • Able to perform mathematical computations as applied to compensation, benefits, production goals, and budgets
  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license required; must have satisfactory driving record in accordance with EMC fleet insurance requirements
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
