Description

Joint Implant Surgeons of Florida is currently searching for a part-time phlebomitist for assistance with platelet rich plasma injections in office for one of our orthopedic providers. This position will primarily work on 1-2 Wednesdays per month, with potential for expansion and cross coverage. 

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Provide excellent care to patients
• Perform blood draws for platelet rich plasma injection
• Assist providers with procedures
• Maintain the cleanliness of the procedure room / exam room to ensure we maintain the highest standards in infection control

Requirements

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent listening skills
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to make sound clinical judgements based on patient concerns and/or provider input
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a volume environment

Education and Experience:

• Phlebotomy certification, preferred
• 3 years previous patient care experience in phlebotomy, preferred
• Previous orthopedic, spine and/or pain management, preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Requires frequent and often repetitive bending, reaching, lifting, walking, squatting, pushing and sitting
• May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
