Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team at our distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the shipping and receiving process.
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming materials and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders
- Verify accuracy of shipments by counting, weighing, or measuring items and comparing information to records
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items, labeling packages, and arranging for transportation
- Operate forklifts or reach trucks to move materials within the warehouse
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and maintain accurate stock levels
- Assist in order fulfillment for e-commerce orders
- Perform picking, packing, and shipping duties as needed
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role preferred
- Familiarity with basic math skills for inventory counts and order verification
- Proficiency in using RF scanners for inventory tracking
- Experience operating forklifts or reach trucks is a plus
- Knowledge of order fulfillment processes in an e-commerce environment is beneficial
