Tucked behind famed sister restaurant Soby’s, The Jones Oyster Co.’s name and legendary landmark is a nod to the building’s previous tenant, The Jones Furniture Company.

Now lovingly restored, the restaurant’s comfortable ambiance features exposed brick walls, high ceilings, touches of muted blues and crisp whites which all add to a lively, neighborly vibe.

Diners are invited to gather around trays of raw or grilled oysters and a seafood-focused menu of Lobster Rolls, Peel n’ Eat Shrimp, Fried Oyster Po’Boys, New England Chowder, and fresh Smoked Fish Dip.

At the bar, grab a seat to watch skilled shuckers pry open cold, pristine oysters, bright and salty. Bartenders present a thoughtfully curated list of hand-crafted cocktails, a myriad of popular brews, and a collection of interesting wines.

Jones Oyster Co is Seeking a Restaurant Manager for our Leadership Team!

Jones Oyster Co is currently accepting applications for a FOH management position in Greenville SC. We are a part of Table 301 , a locally owned group of restaurants dedicated to the highest standards of hospitality, featuring multiple diverse concepts with exciting growth plans.

Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role while possessing exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment.

POSITION SUMMARY :

  • Responsible for FOH operations at Jones Oyster Co.
  • Work with the leadership team to create strategic plans aimed at growing the business through excellent operational execution and sales growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : (Including but not limited to)

  • Participation in the interview process as well as the hiring, training, development, and retention of qualified associates.
  • Facilitation and involvement in the scheduling, conducting, and documentation of employee performance reviews according to standard operating procedure.
  • Identifying, training and developing key associates for growth, advancement, and promotion in an effort to foster team-building morale.
  • Promote teamwork among co-workers and employees.
  • Uphold applicable policies and requirements of employment laws.
  • Become proficient in all job functions of both front and back-of-house employees.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the Table 301 Employee Handbook, employee benefits, Law of Value, and company philosophies.
  • Complete projects as assigned in a timely manner.
  • Resolve guest complaints and problems effectively and courteously by responding with empathy, professionalism and patience.
  • Perform a pre-shift line up to ensure team readiness.
  • Work with kitchen to ensure timely and accurate ticket times.
  • Maintain food quality standards including consistency and presentation.
  • Identify and communicate inventory and equipment needs to ordering manager.
  • Communicate repair and maintenance needs to appropriate repair source.
  • Management of inventory and procurement.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Communicate cordially, effectively and clearly with all associates, managers, partners and guests.
  • Perform calmly and effectively in an extremely busy and sometimes stressful work environment.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
