Ability to teach general Music or Drama curriculum to 4th-6th grade students. Knowledge of Utah Core Curriculum. Ability to build a positive classroom environment and run an effect classroom management system. Music or drama endorsement required.
This position will be evaluated each year based on funding and teacher performance.

Licensure Requirements All applicants must have a Professional Educator License awarded by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) or apply for an Associate Educator License (AEL) to be eligible to apply to Jordan School District and participate in our Alternate Pathway to Professional Educator Licensing (APPEL) Program when hired.
Proof of an AEL is required before you will be added to the candidate pool. Follow this link for information on how to apply for an AEL.
Proof of enrollment in a teacher certification program at a local university will also be accepted in lieu of an AEL.

UTAH STATE RETIREMENTBenefit eligible employees are automatically members of the Utah Retirement Systems (URS). This means that the District contributes into the URS plan on your behalf each month. After the URS vesting period of four years, you will have either the Hybrid option, which is a combination of a pension with a 401k plan, or the 401k option if you choose.
