Job Summary

Act as a professional representative for the owner and be responsible for all aspects of the property including but not limited to annual budgets, financial reporting, management, leasing, marketing, maintenance and maintaining positive resident relations of a multi-family residential apartment community. The role will report directly to the Property Manager.

Qualities: A self-starter and highly motivated individual who is comfortable in a customer-centric atmosphere. Ability to interact with apartment residents in a polite, professional and friendly manner. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work well independently and with the residential team. Positive, upbeat attitude and pleasant personality.

Assistant Management Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with setting rental rates
• Collecting rent and other fees from residents
• Preparing and managing budgets
• Preparing financial reports including monthly budget variance reports
• Preparing annual budgets
• Marketing of vacant units
• Showing the property to potential residents
• Overseeing the application process
• Screening potential residents
• Preparing lease contracts
• Enforcing lease contracts
• Maintaining the property
• Inspecting the property on a routine basis
• Hiring vendors to perform maintenance, repairs, and other services
• Approving property expenses
• Communicating with residents about complaints or concerns
• Resolving disputes among residents
• Reporting on occupancy and vacancy rates
• Staying on top of leases and reporting which ones are due to expire
• Processing evictions
• Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
