Location: Plainsboro, NJ (hybrid position - Tues and Thurs onsite, Virtual Mon, Wed, Friday)
Hours/Schedule: Part-time, Potential to become full-time
Type: Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent
Responsibilities
- Support the onboarding process for new hires by preparing paperwork and facilitating orientation sessions.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, including organizing team-building activities and events.
- Help address employee inquiries and concerns, escalating issues to HR managers as needed.
- Assist in organizing training sessions and workshops for employees, including scheduling, logistics, and materials preparation.
- Support the implementation of employee development plans and performance management processes.
- Assist in updating HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks as needed.
- Participate in special HR projects as assigned, such as conducting research on industry best practices or assisting with HR analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and systems.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Prior internship or work experience in HR or a related field is a plus.
- Passion for the fragrance industry and a desire to learn about HR practices specific to this sector
