Responsibilities
- Abide by all GMP, FDA and DEA regulatory standards
- Schedule the laboratory equipment calibration and Preventative Maintenance
- Perform equipment calibration and Preventative Maintenance as required.
- Prepare qualification documents (protocols, reports, USR, etc. for new equipment to be installed and qualified.
- Revise and issue SOPs for laboratory instruments/ equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is calibrated by their respective due dates.
- Ensure that all documentation is completed in a GMP compliant manner and adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Issue and prepare deviation reports related to laboratory instruments/ equipment.
- Issue change controls related laboratory equipment.
- Perform daily/weekly checks of the laboratory chart recorders, balances, etc..
- The above list of duties is not all inclusive and other tasks may be required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Worked as a Metrologist for 4 years
- Must be able to troubleshoot GC and HPLC instrumentation, perform repairs, execute calibration and preventive maintenance
- Experience in a cGMP and Pharmaceutical environment preferred
- Excellent reading, writing, math, and verbal skills
- Proficient in word, excel, power point and SAP
- Able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, full face/half mask respirator, latex gloves, Tyvek suit and other safety equipment as needed
- Advanced use of tools and equipment
