Journey Bank is Hiring a Bsa aml specialist Near Williamsport, PA

Journey Bank is a strong independent community bank, with 22 locations and 275 employees. At Journey Bank we strive to assist all members of our community on their financial journey.

We are seeking a full-time BSA / AML / CFT Specialist to join our team and work on-site at either our Bloomsburg (Lightstreet) Operations Center or our South Williamsport Community Office.

The BSA / AML / CFT Specialist is

Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the Bank's Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) / Anti-Money Laundering (AML) / Countering Financial Terrorism (CFT) / Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) compliance program , including but not limited to :

  • Monitor and review cash transaction reports, monetary instrument logs, excess cash reports, etc. for possible money laundering, OFAC violations, and other suspicious activity;

creates Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) to FinCEN.

  • Supports monitoring high-risk (HRC) accounts for activity; conducts periodic due diligence reviews.
  • Notifies a department member of unusual or questionable activity identified while performing assigned duties.
  • Investigates suspicious activities identified by the Bank; keeps accurate and detailed records of these suspicious activities and investigations.
  • Assist in reviewing the Bank's BSA / AML system alerts, CTR potentials, customer activity, daily reconcilement of the BSA / AML system.
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and promotes the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety, soundness, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

This includes annual Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training and complying with all BSA rules and regulations as they pertain to the job position within the Bank.

Basic Qualifications

Education / Training : A high school diploma or equivalent; specialized banking education / training / experience preferred.

  • Skill(s) : Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and math skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills;
  • general knowledge of banking; detail oriented and able to apply learned purpose to tasks; proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel;

visual and auditory skills; valid driver's license.

Experience : A minimum of two (2) years' experience in related positions required.

Work hours are Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours per week, and able to work additional hours as needed. We provide an excellent benefit package and competitive compensation including 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, sick time and vacation.
