Journeyman is growing...and growing fast. Last fall, we opened our ambitious second property, a 130,000 square foot craft beverage and hospitality space in Valparaiso, IN, to compliment our flagship location in Three Oaks, MI. Across these properties, we are operating distilleries, breweries, full-service restaurants, private events spaces, tours, public entertainment, and more. The Director of Marketing will oversee and direct all aspects of Journeyman marketing strategy and initiatives.

YOUR FOCUS

  • Marketing - Develop and oversee the management and execution of national product campaigns.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITES

  • Collaborate with the CEO/Founder and Director of Sales to create the Marketing Plan.
  • Oversee the marketing direction so that it is aligned to the business vision.
  • Execute and measure the marketing strategy and pivot as required.
  • Oversee the advertising activity for the business.
  • Create and oversee the Journeyman Distillery content calendar.
  • Run weekly Marketing team meeting.
  • Prepare marketing analytics reports with commentary and recommendations.
  • Understand the current customer demographics, target audiences and market trends, effectively position the business and enhance growth opportunities.
  • Direct and manage the team to achieve outcomes.
  • Conduct the Journeyman Distillery Employee Experience Ecosystem as per the process with every direct report.
  • Manage the sourcing of roles within the department, with a focus on cultural fit.
  • Coach team members to effectively complete tasks, communicate effectively with other stakeholders and grow their skills.
  • Oversee Performance Management of direct reports including terminations, ensuring positive and respectful relationships.
  • Undertake effective delegation and conduct informal on-the-job training for members to increase skills.
  • Manage all third party activities, applying accountability for any contracted work. 
  • Collaborate with the CEO/Founder and Sales Director to create the Brand Strategy.
  • Manage all marketing assets, including images, blog posts, videos etc.
  • Increase brand affinity and implement Public Relations programming to increase brand awareness.
  • Conduct brand audits and maintain an awareness of our competitors.
