Journeyman is growing and, with the addition of new concepts and added production, effective purchasing practices are more important than ever. The Purchasing Coordinator will be vital in working with department heads to purchase the proper quantity and quality of materials, ingredients, and supplies to ensure the success of both our manufacturing and hospitality efforts.

YOUR PURPOSE: Procure goods and services for the company at the best possible price and terms.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

RISK MANAGEMENT

  • Negotiate contracts and purchase goods and services required by the company.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

QUALITY CONTROL

  • Research and identify suppliers for goods and services required by the company.
  • Evaluate and monitor supplier performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.

PROCESS MANAGEMENT

  • Monitor inventory levels and work with key leadership to establish pars.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Streamline procurement processes.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures.

YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Post-secondary education in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement preferred.
  • 1 - 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, or purchasing practices.
  • Experience managing relationships with vendors and suppliers, including negotiation and contract management.
  • Experience in inventory control, including monitoring stock levels, tracking movements, and conducting audits.
  • Familiarity with an Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is a plus.
