Position Overview:Part-Time Nanny for a baby boy born in December 2023, a 3-year-old girl, and a 5-year-old girl.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Feed, burp, and change the baby as needed
  • Follow the baby’s sleep schedule and assist with nap times
  • Engage in stimulating activities appropriate for the baby's age, such as tummy time, sensory play, and reading board books
  • Monitor developmental milestones and communicate progress to the parents
  • Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities to promote learning, creativity, and physical development
  • Supervise play and ensure safety at all times
  • Assist with potty training and bathroom routines
  • Provide emotional support and guidance, helping to manage emotions and resolve conflicts between siblings if necessary
  • Implement disciplinary strategies agreed upon by the parents
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children, considering the following dietary restrictions or preferences
3-year-old and 5-year-old:
  • Gluten-free
  • Dairy-free
  • Minimal processed food
  • Avoid peanuts and legumes (mild allergy)
Infant:
  • Breast milk
  • Some formula
  • Introduction to solid foods (consider age-appropriate options and gradually introduce new foods)
  • Encourage healthy eating habits and model good table manners
  • Clean up kitchen and dining area after meals
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and tidy environment, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting
  • Laundry duties, including washing, folding, and putting away children’s clothes and linens
  • Assist with general organization, such as toy organization and closet management
  • Work alongside the mother to provide seamless care for the children, following her lead and supporting her routines and preferences
  • Communicate effectively with the mother regarding the children’s activities, needs, and any concerns that arise
  • Assist with household tasks as requested by the mother, such as meal prep, errands, or organizing
  • Be willing to adapt to the changing needs of the family. (Some days may require primarily focusing on infant care, while other days may involve more engagement with the older children.)
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing demeanor, especially when caring for young children
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build a rapport with both children and parents
  • Proactive and able to anticipate the needs of the children and the household
  • Willingness to continuously learn and grow in the role
Schedule: Tuesday to Thursday, 10 AM to 7 PM (24 hours per week).
Qualifications:
  • Authorization to work in the US
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Valid driver's license and insured vehicle
  • CPR/First-Aid certification or willingness to obtain
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and fingerprinting
  • At least 2 years of childcare experience
  • Genuine interest in fostering a positive relationship with the family
