As Data Scientist-Executive Director on the Consumer and Business Intelligence Team, you'll join a new organization that monitors, coordinates, and develops a holistic view of the financial well-being of consumers and businesses through the lens of JPMC and third-party data. Your team will develop and execute actionable data science and analytical solutions in a consulting-style environment that places a premium on creative problem solving and executive interaction. You’ll use cutting edge big data technologies and methods and apply your analytical, data science, and leadership skills to provide executive leadership actionable macroeconomic, consumer, and financial data.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide thought leadership, direction, and guidance for data and analytics projects utilizing best practices, methods, and tools
• Develop and manage a team of Data Scientists engaged in analytical projects
• Become trusted advisor and thought leader on business data and analytical techniques
• Invent creative and innovative ways to answer key business questions by leveraging existing data assets or creating new ones
• Identify opportunities in the organization and leverage expertise, influencing skills, and the internal network to execute against them
• Synthesize analytical findings into impactful visualizations for consumption by senior business executives

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

• 10 years of industry experience in data science or business analytics roles (e.g., marketing analytics, sales analytics, business insights)
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant quantitative field required (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Physics, Data Science fields)
• Experience across broad range of modern data science and analytics platforms, languages, and tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Hive, Hadoop, Spark, R)
• Experience of leading teams with a proven track record of driving value for the business
• Direct team leadership and development experience
• Thought leader in data science and/or analytics who can help our internal clients define their business problem, create solutions to address it, plan and execute the implementation
• Excellent communicator who’s able to convey complex information in an understandable, compelling, and persuasive manner to non-technical senior executive audiences
• Expert knowledge in quantitative methods for business and advanced data science

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

• Financial services or economics background preferred, but not required
• Advanced degree in a related field
