As a Data Governance Director, reporting to the Chief Data and Analytics Officer for HR and Employee Experience, will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the bank’s data governance frameworks for the Human Resources and Employee Experience organizations. This role is central to our ability to innovate quickly in the rapidly evolving data, analytics, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning environment and achieve major improvements in capability and productivity, while ensuring appropriate control of regulatory, financial, and reputational risk. The role involves leading our management of all facets of data risk and governance, including but not limited to Access Control, Data Use, Data Quality, Data Privacy, and Retention and Destruction. The successful candidate will develop an implement a comprehensive data governance strategy, coordinating with the Product leaders, Risk, Control, Compliance, and Audit functions, and the Firmwide data organization, ensuring that HR and Employee Experience data practices align with Product requirements, corporate standards, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
