JPMorgan Chase is one of the most followed financial brands, with best-in-class banking, credit card and wealth management services. The Studio Camera Operator/Director of Photography Vice President will be on the JP Morgan Chase Video team to work in our NYC midtown studios and report to our Senior Director of Photography. You will play an integral part of a team tasked with creating high level communications and marketing content for a large leading global financial institution. 

As a Studio Manager, Director of Photography Vice President on the JP Morgan Chase Video team, you will have the opportunity to utilize your extensive hands-on experience and technical expertise with studio and field cameras. You will be responsible for lighting a range of studio setups, both green screen and practical environment. Your experience with live key and virtual studio will be essential. You will interact with a diverse range of people throughout the firm, including senior management, leveraging your strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and leadership. You will manage the studio schedule and the day-to-day production logistics, providing equipment recommendations, making purchases, and suggesting future planning and expansion.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with producers and clients to determine filming needs and requirements
  • Provide practical and creative input to corporate messaging against green screen and seamless backdrops
  • Manage equipment: Select, assemble and position equipment (cameras, lighting, stands, software etc.)
  • Prep cameras, test angles, and dolly (when appropriate)
  • Shoot scenes according to spec requirements
  • Collaborate with make-up artists, lighting, studio and sound staff
  • Resolve technical or practical issues
  • Manage Media as needed

Required qualifications, capabilities, skills

  • 5 years of experience as a camera operator and studio DP and audio 
  • High level proficiency navigating various camera systems, lighting setup, teleprompters, and overall production workflows.
  • Ability to understand and follow camera scripts
  • Light editing skills 
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to think and act quickly
  • A team player 
  • Attention to detail
  • Physical strength to carry heavy equipment and stamina
  • College degree in film, media or relevant experience
