Demonstrating strong legal reasoning, as well as an ability to identify and craft mitigants to legal risks, you will leverage your legal knowledge, training and experience to provide sound and trusted advice to the Trade and Working Capital business. All candidates for roles in the Legal department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance and legal licensing must be in compliance with the regulations of the local jurisdiction where the attorney will work prior review prior to commencement of employment.Job Responsibilities: Advise on, document and negotiate trade finance facilities and related documentation, including reimbursement agreements for letters of credit, loan agreements, guarantees, security agreements and framework agreements for corporate draft discounting and payment undertaking discounting transactions Advise on development of trade finance product development, including introduction of products into new jurisdictions Advise on regulatory and policy matters, with a particular focus on matters related to the digitization of traditional trade productsRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills: Law Degree/Juris Doctorate Attorney must be licensed to practice law and a member in good standing in the state in which the position is based or otherwise in compliance with the in-house counsel registration rules of that state At least 2 years of prior work experience in a law firm or corporate law department Strong drafting and negotiating skills Ability to articulate complex legal concepts to different audiences Ability to work well as a team member with colleagues, bankers, credit and compliance officers and other stakeholders Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skillsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: Prior experience in lending, including trade finance and/or bank finance Proficient in Spanish, both verbal and written
