DESCRIPTION:Duties: Audit Committee reporting of advanced accounting topics, capital management, taxation, regulatory reporting, and the finance control environment. Review metrics from Finance, Human Resources, Technology, and Compliance to identify gaps, inconsistencies and inefficiencies. Develop recommendations to management with the goal of ensuring compliance with firm wide policies and standards, resolving issues, reducing expenses, improving processes, driving consistency, reducing operational risk and reducing control gaps. Monitor, review, and challenge employee designations and technology accesses to reduce opportunities for insider trading, identifies areas of heightened risk and eliminates technology redundancies. Drive change management by partnering with Technology and Finance Control Management to facilitate the implementation of best practices and new technologies that will streamline processes, eliminate duplication, decrease expenses and increase effectiveness. Deploy new technology or apply existing technology in new ways to optimize processes by decreasing the number of affiliated parties it takes to execute tasks. Host Town Halls and broad organizational communications on strategic Controllership and Finance initiatives, including important updates on key priorities, policies, processes and standards. Drive the firm wide Controllers management team agenda and holds the team accountable for performance against organizational priorities and commitments. Telecommuting permitted up to 60% per week.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Business Management, Accountant, Business Analyst, Tax Specialist, or related occupation.Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Accounting; Financial reporting; Financial analytics and change management; Workforce data; Drill-down reporting; Performance Metrics analysis; Identifying industry and business trends; Account Reconciliation processes; Project Management; Process innovation through reviews of procedures; and Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.Job Location: 277 Park Avenue, New York City, NY 10172.
