As a Commercial Product Director in the Merchant Acquiring Organization, you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers. Merchant Services is the global payment processing business for JPMorgan Chase & Co processing over $2.2 Trillion in annual transaction volume. Merchant Services is a leading providers of payment, fraud, and data security for companies of all sizes and is engaging in a multi-year international expansion, platform modernization. The candidate is a strategic and analytical leader and is passionate about delivering solutions to clients. The candidate should have experience facilitating and influencing product, sales, and technology transformations. The candidate should possess an understanding of how corporations leverage payments and fintech services to manage and grow their business. 

Job responsibilities

  • Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets
  • Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
  • Coaches and mentors the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
  • Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
  • Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation
  • Enables / simplifies distribution through commercial guidance, automation, voice of customer and leadership
  • Develop enhancement recommendations to the current solution and develop offering strategies that meet the next iteration of customer need and innovation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 8 years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
  • Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Experience driving digital transformation, solution based selling and product incubation
  • Experience with business development and sales automation strategies
  • Experience driving marketing, voice of customer, and commercial enablement strategies through to execution; Experience driving P&L growth, managing, and measuring core KPIs driving towards profitable double digit growth

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Recognized thought leader within a related field
  • Deep understanding of payments / embedded financial products
  • Ability to understand product details / functionality in order to create winning strategies
  • Curious / collaborative approach that includes diverse ideas / inputs with the ability to prioritize and act independently to deliver results quickly
