The Credit Risk Infrastructure & Green Economy team is responsible for lending activities and related credit exposures. The team structures transactions, negotiates documentation, conducts due diligence on transactions/clients and underwrites credit exposures. In this role, you will be responsible for North America and cover client types spanning multiple industries, including energy, power, renewables as well as emerging green technologies). Members lead the preparation of credit memos, structuring complex deals, providing credit approvals as well as portfolio management activities. The team works closely with Business partners including the Global Corporate Bank, Investment Banking, Infrastructure Financing & Advisory, Markets, and other stakeholders including Legal. Job responsibilities Serve as Team Lead for North America responsible for managing capital commitments and involved with regional strategy and risk appetite Work closely with Business partners and be actively involved in the structuring, negotiation and execution of transactions Conduct and supervise due diligence on projects including credit, technical and market analysis, and financial modelling to assess the creditworthiness of counterparties and make rating and approval recommendations as well as exercise approval authority for deals/exposures Analyze risks, identify mitigants and recommend structures which protect the firm's interests in various structured transactions Conduct portfolio management activities, including amendment and waiver requests, and monitor credits periodically by performing credit reviews, industry analysis and monitor limits Lead and influence junior team members, providing guidance and instruction to ensure quality of various credit decisions, and fostering a diverse and inclusive team environmentRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills Bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline Minimum of 12 years of work experience in Project Finance/Infrastructure and/or Credit Risk in financial services Strong sector experience across power & energy (including renewables and energy transition) and transportation infrastructure assets Experience in emerging green technologies as well as telco infrastructure such as data centers or fiber Good knowledge of technical aspects and project documents Strong credit analysis skills, familiarity with financial statements and strong financial modelling skills Experience in structuring, negotiating and executing highly structured dealsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Self-motivated individual who can work independently with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, provide leadership and guide team members Ability to learn quickly with a high level of attention to detail Good commercial acumen to balance risks and opportunities with an ability to build rapport and influence change Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex information in a clear and organized manner
