The Pricing Strategy Head will lead global efforts toward the development of new pricing approaches and go-to-market strategies aimed at delivering Payments products to our clients in a way that leverages our broad service offering.Job Summary: Identification of client segment needs and gaps in our product offerings Exploration of go-to-market pricing options, including simplified and aggregated/ discount pricing and analysis of expected profitability and risk Identification and assessment of innovating pricing strategies which may or may not be commonplace in the market today, including ideas that could potentially be imported from analogous industries Testing and piloting new pricing approaches in a systematic, scientific, and pragmatic manner Assisting the roll-out and scaling of proven pricing innovations across the global Payments businessAs part of this role, the director will need to establish relationships with product owners, sales leads, and operations/ technology heads at the executive level, absorbing information that will lead to identification of new strategic pricing opportunities and promote execution and delivery of those changes across the this capacity, the director will be an outside-the-box strategic thinker, have a strong executive presence, and be an internal champion for innovation and change.Job Responsibilities: Advise Payments Leadership on innovative pricing strategies, including existing concepts and new concepts organically generated or imported from adjacent industries Match Product and Pricing options to client demand based on broad-based or specific/ unique client segments Develop product and service configurations aimed at delivery of simplified packages with simplified price, considering risks related to product utilization, mix, wallet share, margins and overall profitability Foster new or alternative pricing methodologies (e.g., fixed, ranged, tiered pricing, dynamic algorithms) and manage internal and external testing in real-life, controlled pilot environments Work closely with Sales & Marketing teams, product leaders, and business leadership to implement and propel adoption of tested and validated pricing innovations Help design and implement pricing tools feeding the strategic solutions developed in adjacent internal transformation programs (e.g., billing systems, CRM, etc.) Lead and manage a small team in analysis, development, and syndication; build partnerships and leverage indirect resources in an effective manner Required qualifications, capabilities and skills: Advanced degree in a relevant quantitative field (e.g., Master's Degree in business, statistics, or scientific fields) 10 years experience in a corporate environment and/or management consulting Knowledge of the Payments industry, including Treasury Services, Merchant Acquiring, Commercial Card services a plus; Experience with banking and/or fintech solutions a plus Experience managing teams including coaching and development of junior team members; Executive presence and presentation skills; Ability to efficiently manage small and dynamic work teams Analytical and innovative mindset; ability to identify and pioneer new pricing concepts without fear of failure; Appreciation of legal and regulatory parameters related to pricing and a firm commitment to maintaining a strong Controls environment Ability to foster strong connections with organizational partners, including product and business owners and other executive stakeholders; Ability to assess market landscape, recognize patterns and evolving opportunities, and offer creative solutions Ability to create a business case for proposals, understanding key risks and mitigants to those risks, including implementation challenges; Ability to translate pricing innovation into actionable delivery plans; Ability to build a coalition of senior partners for execution of innovative and disruptive change
