Join a growing Impact Finance & Advisory team as an Associate supporting the origination activity and ongoing portfolio management for loans to CDFIs/funds managed by CDFIs and LP investments in credit funds. You will work across the organization to support the sourcing, structuring, execution, and monitoring of transactions.Impact Finance & Advisory (IFA), as part of Corporate Responsibility, deploys the Firm's principal capital to support the philanthropic objectives noted above and strategic initiatives such as our $30bn Racial Equity Commitment. The IFA team has built out a multi-asset impact investing and lending platform to advance these objectives. The team makes low-cost loans to mission-driven financial intermediaries, such as Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs); it also makes equity investments in funds and early-stage, mission-driven companies that advance the Firm's impact objectives.To that end the IFA team is seeking a finance professional with experience in community development banking, corporate finance, investment banking, and/or lending who is eager to leverage their financial acumen to drive social and environmental good. For more information on the team and its portfolio, please visit Job Responsibilities Support transaction sourcing, evaluation and portfolio management Conduct extensive due diligence on new investment opportunities, primary and secondary research, and other organization-specific investment analysis Support negotiation and execution of term sheets and loan documentation, including the development of financial covenants Produce detailed investment committee memoranda and marketing materials, and support presentations on investment opportunities synthesizing investment rationale and risks with accompanying analysis Proactively and independently work with senior managers to provide reporting, valuation updates, and periodic due diligence for originated transactions and a portion of the team's existing portfolio of loans Work with lines of business, Operations, and other Control Group functions to support booking, accounting, and transaction management Support impact assessments for each investment opportunity, partnering with IFA's Impact Engagement lead and colleagues in Global Philanthropy Support ongoing team needs related to business planning, impact reporting, marketing and communications effortRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills A demonstrated passion for social enterprise, development finance, and/or impact investing 2-4 years of transaction experience in community development banking, corporate finance, investment banking, or lending Knowledge of CDFIs and experience with various asset classes (e.g., affordable housing or health centers) is a plus Highly analytical mindset with the ability to analyze organizations, lending strategies, and the risk/return characteristics of investment opportunities Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel & PowerPoint in particular) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organization skills Acts with urgency, initiative, and ownership to drive results
