JPMorgan Chase is Hiring a Real Estate Banker - Workforce Housing Solutions - Executive Director Near New York, NY

Join the team expanding J.P. Morgan Chase’s leadership in affordable housing to provide financing for workforce and mixed-income multifamily properties.

As an Executive Director Commercial Banker within the Workforce Housing Solutions group, you will be responsible for developing, growing, and managing developer relationships to generate revenue opportunities. You will become a trusted advisor to clients and a variety of capital sources, and serve as a resource to internal colleagues throughout the country. You will bring a demonstrated passion for affordable housing innovation and a proven track record of financing multifamily construction projects with non-LIHTC equity sources. You will be an integral part of a team working to develop solutions that increase housing affordability, at scale, supported by the firm’s resources and decades of leadership in community development and commercial real estate finance.

J.P. Morgan Chase’s Community Development Banking (CDB) business is a national leader in community development finance for affordable housing and economic development projects. CDB offers financing for projects of any size and complexity, including construction, bridge, and permanent lending for Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and non-LIHTC affordable, workforce and mixed-income housing, CDFI financing, and Historic Tax Credit and New Markets Tax Credit investing. CDB's clients include: for-profit and not-for-profit real estate developers; government entities engaged in housing and economic development; and community-based organizations.

Workforce Housing Solutions is an innovative business line within CDB that provides financing to catalyze rent-restricted workforce and mixed-income housing for a broader income range than traditional affordable or market rate housing. We leverage capital sources other than Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) equity to provide balance-sheet construction and permanent debt, as well as Agency execution, for diverse projects throughout the country. Workforce Housing Solutions also provides valuable insights to a broad range of entities interested in developing and financing workforce housing, such as healthcare systems, higher education institutions, traditional real estate and impact equity funds, and public sector agencies.

  • Support the business management of the overall Workforce Housing Solutions platform
  • Appropriately assess transactional risk via thorough knowledge of Sponsor, financial, legal, construction management and market considerations
  • Confidently interact with C-suite executives during business development and in negotiation of acceptable credit terms and structure for complicated transactions
