The PM Business Management team performs various functions including document solicitation and intake, client communication, vendor management, spreading and spread approval, appraisal and inspection coordination, and loan review support. As a Credit Support Associate role, in Credit Real Estate - Portfolio Management Appraisal team, you will be responsible for managing and preparing the appraisal orders through the Appraisal workflow process for CTL (Commercial Term Lending) properties. This includes document retrieval, client communication, internal appraisal team engagement, appraisal ordering and coordination, appraisal and inspection review and evaluation, and document ingesting and system reconciliation. You will also be responsible for ensuring procedures and supporting documents are up to date. The Credit Risk Associate will also monitor the the Appraisal backlog ensuring all requests are properly ordered or escalated, as necessary. The successful candidate will be expected to perform well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.The CB Real Estate Division's risk organization oversees more than $100 Billion of the firm's assets. The asset classes under this line of business (LOB) include some of the largest, most complex transactions in the firm as well as a large portfolio of high quality, smaller relationship-based transactions. The products include Multifamily and Commercial Term loans, as well as Construction, Subscription, and Commercial Mortgage Lending through the following LOB channels: Commercial Term Lending (CTL), Real Estate Banking (REB), Community Development Banking (CDB) and Off Balance Sheet (OBS)/Agency Lending.Job Responsibilities Assist with pipeline and production management for CRE Portfolio Management appraisal ordering process ensuring all priorities are met ahead of SLA (Service Level Agreement) Analyze data to understand business impacts and propose enhancements and/or automated solutions where necessary Adhere to controls and procedures for capturing and ordering appraisal requests Provide assistance with multiple on-going projects as a subject matter expert and support change implementation including assisting with process and procedural documentation, training and job aid design Perform additional tasks as needed and as directed by managers/stakeholders to align the business with overall goals and responsibilities both departmental and firm-wide. Exercise sound judgment; act with integrity; protect our company, clients and customers; having the ability to liaise with reporting team for report tracking, validation and reconciliation Provide ownership and support of CTL Portfolio Management SharePoint site; abiding by IT Risk Policy, OBR Attestation Policy Record retention policy and PI Attestation Policy Interact with borrowers, Credit Executives, Client Managers and other parties, both internal and external to Chase, to obtain applicable data to perform role responsibilitiesRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Strong organizational and time-management skills - able to prioritize, and work with others in an integrated way to achieve individual objectives and team results Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; having excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with interpreting real estate loan documents Strong analytical skills including the ability to probe issues while maintaining the highest level of objectivity Ability to organize and prioritize work, and handle multiple tasks concurrently Excellent decision-making skills are crucial, as are oral and written communication skills Productivity and flexibility through shifting priorities and deadlines are required Accuracy and attention to detail are imperative Demonstrate the ability to function in a joint, cooperative manner; share information with co-workers and peers and support department and team plans, programs, and policies Support a teamwork/team spirit environment and present a professional attitude/image Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Word, Excel Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience that would demonstrate capability to perform the duties of the position Any combination of education and experience that would demonstrate capability to perform the duties of the position
