Within the Global Securitized Products Group, members of the RSF (Residential Structured Finance) Analytics Team work with various groups within the company and counterparties outside the firm to analyze residential mortgage loans to facilitate the purchase, sale, financing and securitization of these assets. Job Summary:As an associate, you will gain exposure to mortgage loans in various capacities including all aspects of residential mortgage loan transactions, manage business relationships with internal and external counterparties and gain valuable insight into the purchase, sale, financing, valuation and securitization of residential mortgage loans. Job Responsibilities: Prepare analytics on pools of mortgage loans or other assets using the firm's internal pricing models and consult with trading desks and internal partners on custom scenarios Preparing or 'cracking' raw data into normalized fields in order to produce usable information that can be analyzed economically and qualitatively Thought leader in the development of solutions to automate processes in order to reduce inefficiencies in our business Estimate loss coverage levels for preparation of securitization executions and advance rates Maintain database of US securitizations and be able to speak to differences in structure, bond sizing and other deal specific features with internal and external partners Support business partners including trading, RSF banking and financing teams with quantitative and qualitative analysis on mortgage pools and securitizations for internal and external opportunitiesRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: At least 3 years of relevant experience in structured finance at an investment bank, rating agency or other investment office Working knowledge of various whole loans including residential mortgages, small balance commercial, student loans and/or other consumer loans Quantitative and analytical skills including MS Excel, SQL, CAS, Intex (programming languages including Python are a plus) Experience with unstructured data, fixed income pricing and mathematics, and/or structuring and pricing of asset-backed bonds Bachelor's degree or advanced education with quantitative or finance and accounting background Strong communication skills and strict attention to detail, must have an eye to identify data and patterns that do not conform to what would be expected for a given data set or report Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, prioritize and manage timelines, relationships and deliverables
