DESCRIPTION:Duties: Establish, maintain, and build relationships with Spanish-speaking private banking clients, and serve as primary point of contact for all clients' financial service needs. Work with advisors, product partners, and operations teams in Mexico to deliver a seamless and integrated private banking product experience across deposit, banking, brokerage, custody, investment management, fiduciary, mutual funds, credit, foreign exchange and alternative investments. Research and respond to client requests for products and services (i.e., open/close accounts, check orders, credit drawdowns/pay downs, credit card requests, etc.), as well as general client inquiries, within established deadlines and in accordance with applicable firm procedures and FINRA regulations. Advise clients on banking-related needs, and identify and execute cross-sell and up-sell opportunities. Monitor and maintain client accounts across complex structures and a wide variety of products.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Senior Client Service Associate, Associate or Analyst in Client Service/Sales (Investment Banking), Cash Flow Monitoring/Settlements, Operations Analysis/Management within Financial Services, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as Senior Client Service Associate, Associate or Analyst in Client Service/Sales (Investment Banking), Cash Flow Monitoring/Settlements, Operations Analysis/Management within Financial Services, or related occupation.Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: identifying business opportunities for and providing financial planning services to private banking clients in Mexico; providing client service in the financial industry; private banking investment product distribution; participating in the foreign exchange processing and contract process; reviewing investment banking account structures and identifying unusual or fraudulent activity in clients' accounts; leveraging financial reports to anticipate clients' loan needs, and coordinating with credit team to establish needed documentation for clients' loans; writing Letters of Credit that inform the client of commission and notary fees; following both LATAM and U.S. financial regulations and procedures; utilizing MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Powerpoint; and the following financial products and systems specific to Mexico: FX/MEX Pesos loans, and monitoring the maturity of derivatives used for foreign exchange hedge funds associated with SWAPs linked to loans. This position requires written, oral, and auditory fluency in the Spanish language.Job Location: 600 Travis Street, Houston, TX 77002. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
