Job DescriptionThe Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Resolution and Recovery (R&R) Team is seeking a dynamic team member to join a high-performing team responsible for the governance, oversight and effective implementation of Corporate & Investment Banking-related resolution and recovery deliverables, which form part of the firm’s global R&R submissions to the U.S. regulators. In addition, the Team coordinates across Corporate & Investment Banking stakeholders to prepare ad hoc responses to regulatory requests. From a regional perspective, the Team is also responsible for overseeing the delivery of local R&R submissions across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Latin America (LATAM), as well as for related local regulatory interactions. Corporate & Investment Banking R&R partners extensively with Corporate & Investment Banking sub-lines of business and other functional areas to oversee, control, and deliver on the R&R program of work.
As a Vice President within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Recovery and Resolution (R&R) team, you will manage various aspects of planning, execution, and implementation of US R&R requirements for the Corporate and Investment Banking sector. This includes delivering CIB content in the Recovery Plan and Title I / IDI Resolution Plan submissions. This high-profile role requires swift delivery in a highly organized manner to manage the Corporate and Investment Banking components of a set of demanding and time-sensitive regulatory deliverables. You will contribute to and/or lead regular sessions with stakeholders, including senior management, to provide relevant Corporate and Investment Banking updates and understand key takeaways and next steps. You will be responsible for promoting high standards and best practices across your assigned book of work.
Job Responsibilities
  • Input into strategic direction to deliver CIB components of the Recovery, Title I and IDI Plan deliverables.
  • Build strong working relationships with and coordinate amongst the line of business and support functions involved in the development and production of the CIB components of the Firm’s Recovery and Resolution deliverables.
  • Develop and implement BAU operating models for Plan submissions, including:
    • Continuing to evolve and enhance the governance and operating model;
    • Setting deliverable timelines and milestones
    • Tracking metrics and monitoring progress of plan deliverables.
  • Lead CIB Working Group meetings.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert, develop presentation materials and present the CIB elements of the plans to senior stakeholders.
  • Proactively lead discussions to resolve issues and assess risks and escalate issues, as appropriate.
  • Coordinate CIB responses and provide guidance to stakeholders when regulatory requests arise related to Recovery and Resolution planning.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
  • 6 years of relevant experience with a comparable financial services company, including demonstrated track record of working on similar large-scale projects.
  • Project management experience and an ability to drive deadlines, manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment and deliver in a timely matter.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of self-reliance, the ability to work autonomously and to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively, including to foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders and to manage senior management communications.
  • Experience in delivering presentations, along with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to articulate complex issues concisely and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
  • General CIB product and business knowledge, coupled with an understanding of the business organization.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, ability to synthesize data from many sources, design and draw persuasive conclusions for plans and presentation to CIB and firmwide executive management
  • Knowledge of Recovery and Resolution Planning, including relevant FRB / FDIC / OCC regulations
  • Proficiency in Workiva (Wdesk)
