Our culture in Risk Management and Compliance is all about thinking outside the box, challenging the status quo and striving to be best-in-class.The responsibilities of this position include all facets of the analysis and design of credit strategies within the Chase Auto Finance (CAF) line of business. The VP will have specific responsibility for multiple originations strategies and ensure that performance meets investment hurdles and risk appetite limits. The VP will identify improvements to those strategies to increase profitability through data and models sourced from internal and external sources. This role will require regular interaction and communication with outside vendors and cross-functional partners, including CAF business leadership, Finance, Legal and Compliance partners, other functional partners and other areas of the Risk unit. The successful candidate will excel at creative thinking, problem solving, effective communication, project and relationship management, and should be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities: Ability to analyze current and proposed credit policy within a consistent analytic framework, working with both internal and external data to accommodate reject inference Ability to communicate credit policy strategies and recommendations using straightforward, fact-based analysis, to a wide and diverse audience Possess strong drive and good negotiation skills in getting agreement lined up/signed off by multiple stakeholders Ability to identify unique alternative internal and external data sources and to use innovative analytical methods to conduct effective risk segmentation Query, interpret, and summarize large amounts of complex data from multiple sources to identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of risk strategies Work collaboratively with cross-functional business partners and internal risk colleaguesRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Engineering, or related quantitative field (Advanced degree preferred) At least 5 years of risk analytical experience, preferably in financial services industry with acquisition strategy background Highly motivated, confident, team player with strong problem solving skills Comfortable working with ambiguity and finding creative ways to enhance analytic capabilities while having a broad view of the business needs Strong analytical and technical skills, advanced knowledge of Python, SAS, SQL, MS Office, etc. Prior experience with applied statistical techniques; e.g., Machine Learning, linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, experimental design, etc. Strong interpersonal, collaboration, communication and presentation skills
