JR is Hiring a Human Resources Coordinator Near Kansas, MO

We are seeking a FT Recruiter (Human Resources) responsible for supporting the growth of a dynamic team through recruitment, screening, pre-employment processing, and facilitation of onboarding and orientation for new hires.

Essential Functions:

  • Post and maintain open positions on company management system
  • Search out job fairs and other opportunities for promoting employment opportunities
  • Review and screen applicants, documenting status, maintaining EEOC log and communicating with applicants
  • Schedule interviews
  • Facilitate or coordinate all pre-employment requirements (drug screening, OSHA certifications,
    employment verifications, background checks, etc.)
  • Ensure completion of all new hire paperwork and e-verifications
  • Facilitate new hire orientations and coordinate all new hire onboarding components based upon
    position requirements
  • Ensure job descriptions are up-to-date and in compliance with employment regulations
  • Assist with development and facilitation of anti-harassment training (annual and new hires)
  • Scan and file completed personnel documents; ensure employee files are up to date and in
    compliance

Supportive Human Resource Functions:

  • Schedule and follow up on 60 Day Reviews; assist with annual evaluations
  • Update PTO balances in BambooHR (weekly)
  • Support Human Resource Manager with other projects as assigned

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field or equivalent related work experience required
  • 1-2 years of human resource experience
  • People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people, high energy
  • Flexible, Able to adapt to changing needs and priorities
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of labor laws, employment equity regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
