Position Overview: This position provides support to the Sector Manager, Project Manager(s), & Operations Team to ensure Projects and Operations run smoothly and all projects are successfully monitored and performed from start to finish. The goal of this position is to provide assistance to project teams while training and developing future project managers and allowing entry-level project managers to take on smaller projects with supervision from Sr. level project managers. JR & Co. Inc. desires that this position have the goal of gaining experience and training for future advancement within the company.

Essential Job Functions:

• General:
  • Update and maintain project and operations trackers and forecasts weekly
  • Assit with inventory transactions, invoice review, submittals, and project controls
  • Attend and participate in weekly branch, operations, and project meetings
  • Track project and department performance and data, updating scorecards 
• Coordinate with Operations Manager to complete the following:
  • Ensure the “Ops Hub” spreadsheet and schedules are maintained weekly
  • Assist with time clock review/approval for all hourly field employees
  • Assist with crew planning, training, and badge requests
  • Perform project site visits and support field operations as applicable 
  • Obtain hands-on system learning at construction project sites 
• Coordinate with Project Managers to complete the following:
  • Ensure all required permits are requested/paid for prior to job start
  • Build Job binders for Superintendents/Foremen and support hand-off meetings
  • Fill out Job Account forms, coordinate orders with Suppliers, and track material orders
  • Participate in “Pre-Construction Meetings” & “After Action Reviews” for all projects
  • Submit online project applications with Roofing Manufacturers (NOA, PIN, etc.)
  • Ensure submittals, reporting, and billing documentation is completed accurately and timely
  • Generate material Purchase Orders for Suppliers and Task Orders for Sub Contractors
  • Monitor job costs and investigate cost variances and incorrect charges
  • Administer project closeout documentation (schedule inspection, request warranty, etc.)
  • Manage assigned projects as applicable with the oversight of Sr. Project Manager(s)

Additional responsibilities as assigned by: Sr. Project Manager and Sector Manager

Minimum Education and Experience:

• GED or HS Diploma

• 1-2 years of project coordination and controls

• OSHA 10 certification (or ability to obtain)

• Knowledge and experience in contract administration and contract management preferred

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

• Pass initial drug test and participate in random drug test program
• Primarily indoor office environment with routine field site visits
• Use of hands for work at computer, taking notes, etc.
• Vision adequate for reading monitors, documents and fine print
• Prolonged sitting and working at a desk
• Ability to move freely (walking, bending, etc) to visit field sites
• Overtime and weekend work
