We are looking for a Cashier to manage all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments and issuing receipts and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and able to handle live bait such as shrimp and small bait fish. You should be available to take evening and weekend shifts occasionally. Ultimately, you’ll ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Sort out shrimp when delivered.
• Make sure protein skimmers are working properly.
• Remove dead bait and bag up and store in freezer.
• Comfortable using tablet for Credit card and cash transactions.
• Promote merchandise to customers
• Answer phone and customer inquiries
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
• Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
• Keep track of inventory and document when something is needed.
• Re- stock inventory when low

Skills

• Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales
• Basic PC knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS
• Good math skills
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer satisfaction-oriented

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week

Shift:

• 8 hour shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
