JS Careers is pleased to be recruiting an experienced Senior Manager - Credit Risk Analytics position for a global bank in Sydney. The successful candidate will assume a senior leadership position within the credit risk team, focusing on providing insightful data analytics across the mortgages portfolio. We require an experienced risk practitioner, with deep consumer products experience, including technical proficiency in the use of SAS/SQL.

Key responsibilities include:

• Work closely with the credit analysts and portfolio managers, in providing risk management data analysis to aid in the management of the secured credit portfolio.
• Develop and track mortgage models to ensure optimal performance.
• The production of monthly/quarterly reporting requirements.
• Streamline and automate data extraction in order to improve efficiencies in the reporting process.
• Develop a deep understanding of the banks product offerings and customer databases.

The suitable candidate will possess:

• 8 years relevant portfolio management / data analytics experience is required. Financial services experience is highly regarded.
• Tertiary qualifications in an analytical subject i.e Mathematics/Statistics or other related disciplines.
• An understanding of retail banking products (residential mortgages preferred).
• Proven experience in managing a team of technical analysts.
• Experience in SAS/SQL programming is required.
• Excellent organisation, communication and the ability to effectively manage time.
• Excellent problem solving ability.
