Site Procurement Manager

Job Description

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for a Site Procurement Manager who will be responsible for driving and leading the performance management of all key initiatives and projects, across multiple categories of spend and cross functionally across the wider business. This is a contract opportunity with a multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company located in Zebulon NC. There is a possibility of converting to fulltime.

Pay $75/hour

Ideal Candidate

• Direct experience leading procurement for a specific supply category, or more generically across site level spend (Direct or Indirect)
• Ability to drive & implement change
• Enterprise mindset – translating & mapping Procurement goals to business needs
• Demonstrated team leadership and ability to motivate and inspire colleagues, and work in partnership with others to drive, implement and support change
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills across internal teams and external suppliers globally.
• Ability to operate and influence across all business units and across multiple disciplines

Business Strategy

• Develop and propose long and short-term plans to improve Procurement processes to enhance the overall performance of the Site
• Manage the interfaces between Procurement and the Site, balancing the expectations of both Procurement and Site stakeholders.
• Ensure that Site requirements are considered within the definition and implementation of Global Category strategies
• Develop and implement Procurement strategies for local categories of spend that clearly meet business requirements
  
  

Procurement Management

• Lead the Procurement function across the manufacturing site (Directs and Indirects)
• Develop and manage the Site supply base to meet requirements: assurance of supply, quality, regulatory, service, cost, and innovation to control costs in a fast-moving environment. Adapt and respond to regularly changing business requirements.
• For specific Categories, actively negotiate contracts.
• Reduce the Directs, Manufacturing & Indirects costs across the Sites. Support the reduction of end-to-end total costs of the site.
• Co-ordinate support from multiple Category teams and work within a matrix organization.
  
  

Education

• Business or Science preferred
• 5-8 years of operational Procurement / Supply Chain experience across multiple categories of spend (ideally with some experience of regulated environments)
