Judge Consulting Group is Hiring an IT Director, Digital Engineering Near Raleigh, NC

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Director to lead our Digital Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and software engineering, with a focus on digital transformation and innovation. This role will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of digital solutions, managing a team of engineers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The IT Director, Digital Engineering, will play a crucial role in shaping our digital strategy and ensuring the successful delivery of projects that align with business objectives.

This role reports to the VP, Digital Applications & Product Engineering

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the development and management of high-volume web applications, including appointment scheduling, Patient Poral, CRM, and marketing applications.

Implement and manage digital projects that align with our strategic goals, focusing on emerging technologies, digital transformation, and product management.

Maintain a hands-on approach in the technical development and deployment of applications across various platforms including AI, React, CMS, and CRM systems (Braze CRM preferred).

Ensure optimal performance and scalability of applications hosted on multiple cloud services, including Heroku, AWS, and Azure.

Develop and nurture a team of skilled engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability.

Drive the integration of DevOps practices into project workflows, enhancing efficiency and deployment speeds.

Utilize data from Customer Data Platforms (CDP) and other analytics tools to drive marketing strategies and improve conversion rates.

Apply knowledge of social engineering tactics to enhance user engagement and conversion strategies across digital platforms.

Monitor project progress, track key metrics, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the overall performance of the Digital Engineering team.

Work Experience

  • 10 years of experience in a leadership role within IT or software engineering, with a focus on digital transformation and innovation.
  • Experience working in industries undergoing digital transformation, such as e-commerce, Marketing, or SaaS, is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Credentials (if required)

Skills

  • Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture, AI and digital technologies.
  • Proven experience in leading digital engineering teams with a focus on external, patient-facing applications.
  • Strong technical proficiency in React, Content Management Systems, and CRM platforms, with a preference for Braze CRM.
  • Expertise in MS SQL, Cosmos DB, and Azure Functions, with a solid understanding of DevOps principles.
  • Experience with cloud hosting solutions such as Heroku, AWS, and Azure.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of managing and inspiring teams in a hybrid work environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of product management and Agile project management within the context of digital transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-stakes projects and deliver results in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Figma is beneficial.
  • The ability to build high-performance web applications is a significant plus.
  • In-depth understanding of marketing metrics, Customer Data Platforms (CDP), and a strong drive to increase conversion rates.

Working Conditions

Travel up to 5% of the time may be required. Min 3 days’ work from office.

Access information using a computer.

Effectively communicate and exchange information with others.

Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. and move about the office.

This position is performed in a traditional office environment.
