Well established and growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst with strong cost accounting experience.
Reporting directly to the Controller and collaborating closely with the CFO, the analyst supports strategic decision-making. This role focuses on cost efficiency and financial accuracy within our operations.
Responsibilities:
Cost Accounting
Establish and review cost accounting activities, ensuring accurate cost allocation and reporting during monthly accounting close processes for Revenue and Cost of Goods.
Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.
Analyze cost variances, identifying areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
Financial Analysis and Reporting
Prepare detailed Revenue and Cost of Goods analyses and reports for management.
Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis to support strategic decisions.
Align revenue and cost accounting with overall financial goals by collaborating with Finance and Operations teams.
Inventory Management
Manage inventory costing and valuation processes in collaboration with Operations.
Improve routine cycle count processes.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions.
Manufacturing Process Analysis
Understand manufacturing processes by working closely with the Operations team.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of financial analysis and/or cost accounting experience in manufacturing (3-4 years at a reputable company will be considered).
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Superior Excel skills.
