Description: Our client is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer II (Fluids/Design/Tubing)
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Design of various pressure vessel types, and shapes to accommodate vehicle space allocation and integration envelope. Design of fluid lines and flex elements for cryogenic and space application. Drawing generation, including tolerance and GD&T setup. Ownership of design release cycle, including drawings release, and DFM reviews. Analysis of primary and secondary spacecraft pressure vessels Integration of structural analysis with loads and dynamics environments Finite Element Model development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests Strength checks and analysis report generation Test and verification plan and report generation Support configuration development and trade studies
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering 8 years of experience in the prediction/validation of low and/or high-frequency structural dynamics and loads, in addition to finite element modeling Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals Passion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development/validation Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods (hand calculations, in-house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools) Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
