Salary: $90,000.00 USD Annually - $115,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Nuclear Systems Engineer
As a Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with customers, regulators, and program managers to develop top-level requirements that address the needs of all stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include defining design deliverables essential for successful project execution, working closely with a diverse team of engineers, and ensuring the architectural design and requirements specification for complex systems-of-systems. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in defining system interfaces and mitigating technical risks to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers, regulators, and program managers to develop top-level requirements.
• Define design deliverables necessary for successful project execution.
• Perform architectural design and requirements specification for complex systems-of-systems.
• Work with engineers from various disciplines to define system interfaces.
• Understand and mitigate technical risks to ensure project success.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering) from an ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum of 2 years of related engineering experience.
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and define complex systems-of-systems.
• Translate customer/client expectations into clear, concise, verifiable requirements.
• General understanding of Systems Requirements, Architecture, Interface Definition, and Design.
• Collaborate on the creation, development, and presentation of technical briefings.
• Ability to recognize and solve technical problems.
• Self-starter, capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with standard MS Office applications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) or Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance, as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a STEM discipline.
• Knowledge of International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) practices and handbooks.
• Familiarity with DOORs or other requirements management tools.
• Understanding of Model Driven Architecture (MDA) / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Experience or knowledge of high-temperature materials or space radiation effects.
• Experience or knowledge of nuclear reactors or radiochemical systems.
